SHAFTS?
Answers
"I
have Dynamic Gold R300 shafts in my irons, and I have a tendency of
pulling my shots and the ball would also balloon up in the air, (a very
high trajectory, especially with the shorter irons) with a lost of
distance, but because of the height I get, the ball would land softly on
the green. Would I need to switch to a more stiffer shaft, like a DG S300?
I used to balloon my drives, until I switch to a UST Proforce 75 stiff
shaft, and now I'm hitting 250+ yards." |

VARIATIONS
Answers
"I
recently purchased a Taylor Made 300 8.5* with a stiff shaft. I have been
using a Taylor Made SuperSteel 10.5* with a regular shaft. I have a fast
swing and thought a stiffer shaft would help me, but the transition is not
very impressive. Also my 1, 3 and 5 woods were a matched set. Is the
variation of shafts going to create problems for me ???" |

Answers
"I am
a 1 handicap with a great short game ... but my iron play is off. I am
hitting the ball on the toe and my divot is deeper on the heel side then
the toe side (and the divot is straight). I have tried changing ball
position, longer clubs, standing closer to the ball, and I had my clubs
bent two degrees upright. Still have the same problem. My clubs are
standard length, and I am debating bending them to 2 degrees flat due to
the divot issue. I NEED HELP!! Thanks!! |

CLUBS ARE NOT RIGHT...
Answers
"I
have just bought a set of firm (graphite) shafted Callaway x-14s and was
wondering what would happen if they were not suited to my swing... i.e.
being too stiff. What problems would that cause that would tell me they're
not right for me?" |
From Pete Thornton - HOGAN
EDGE CLUBS
Answers
"I am in the process of
finding a new set of clubs and I am not sure which way to go. I really
like the new Hogan Edge clubs but I am not sure if they would fit me
correctly. I was about an 8 handicap 2 years ago but I haven't been
playing too much but I am going to start back up soon. So I would like to
know is what clubs you would recommend. Thanks." |

ROLL WITH DRIVER

"When I hit my driver,
my ball stops and does not roll like my friends. I use a 9, 10 and
11 deg driver and they all react the same. Why?" |
From Jeff - WILSON
FAT SHAFTS
Answers
"I am
buying a new set of irons, the Wilson Deep Red Fat Shafts (steel). I am
getting mixed opinions as to whether to get the STIFF flex or the REGULAR
flex. I am big guy (6'2", 240lbs, and usually shoot around 90.
I don't, however, swing the club extremely hard. My best shots are with a
nice, easy swing. What do you think? Regular, or Stiff? Thanks." |

VS. WOODS
Answers
"Why
do some of the pros use a 2 or 3 iron off the tee when the have the option
of using a wood? When you have a relatively long shot, wouldn't the added
mass of the wood increase your range? I know there probably is a good
reason. Tiger seems to do it frequently." |

"I was
looking at a golf ball, and I saw little numbers inside the dimples. I was
wondering what they were for?" |

DRIVER OUT THERE?
Answers
"I am looking to buy a driver. What do you think is honestly the best
driver out there right now? I am looking for accuracy first and then
distance. I am a 10 handicap and am left handed. I play a slight

MY CLUBS? Answers
"I'm in the market for buying a new set of clubs. What
brand and model would you recommend? And how much should I spend?
Also, I have a set that I'm playing with now - it's the Dunlop
brand, sort of looks like the Callaway X-14's. I play these clubs
well, but I think I just need to upgrade. Should I just stick with
these sticks?" |

Answers
"First
off, I am a 65 year-old lady and have been using a BIGGEST big Bertha
driver 11 degree loft for many years. I've been fairly satisfied with it,
but this year, I thought I would try a 360 series Taylor Made driver, 12
degrees loft with a ladies bubble shaft. Not only am I losing distance,
but I also seem to be hitting every drive to the left. Big time! Would
love some good advice. Thanks!" |

between brand name and after market clubs. In other words, if Callaway and a Callaway

Lois - NEW
3 WOOD
Answers
"How do I know which 3-wood is right for me? I am considering
pre-owned...but have not ruled out new. Please don't suggest hitting a lot
of different ones, it is not that easy to find places that do that. There
has to be another way to at least narrow it down? It is a lot of money to
spend on a club that does not work for me! Thanks for your
suggestions!" |
