From Milt,

In the February 1993 issue of Golf
Illustrated, there was an article by Craig Shankland concerning becoming a
'hands player', in the 'seniors corner'. I kept the article and it looks
like it could help me quite a bit, since my back and shoulders are not
very flexible. I am wondering if there are any videos, or other
information on this. Thanks. |

"Being a hands player is the best thing you can do....I
said hands, not wrists. Keeping equal pressure in both hands, let
the club ^hang^ and swing it over your right shoulder. Of course,
you must allow the shoulders to rotate around a suspension point.
Now simply SWING the club through the ball and on to the left
shoulder using your hands and arms to motivate.....the body will
follow in the correct order automatically. If you stiffen the left
arm and pull, or squeeze the club and try to use your wrists, a
lot of bad things happen. Swing the club back and forth with as
loose a grip as possible and you have the best golf swing. Be
happy." - John

"Dear Milt: If you are interested, I have some wonderful
videos fore small and older students to achieve optimal distance
even if they are not as strong physically as they used to
be."

"You can reach Craig at CMSHANKLAND@MINDSPRING.COM. He
should be able to help you find videos and articles of follow-up
to this article. Because I have not read this article and how you
feel it applies to you, I am a bit reluctant to try to expand on
this topic. But I can direct you to Craig."
