From Jeff,

I have Dynamic Gold R300 shafts in my
irons, and I have a tendency of pulling my shots and the ball would also
balloon up in the air, (a very high trajectory, especially with the
shorter irons) with a lost of distance, but because of the height I get,
the ball would land softly on the green. Would I need to switch to a more
stiffer shaft, like a DG S300? I used to balloon my drives, until I switch
to a UST Proforce 75 stiff shaft, and now I'm hitting 250+ yards. |

"Dear Jeff: You answered your own question! If you
made the switch with your driver (ProForce 75) then the same will
hold true for your irons. One small piece of advice...check your
"Alignment"!"

"Jeff: You most likely are bringing the club back with
your whole body, bring the club back with your shoulders and arms
and the hips will follow. Hips rotate to about 45 degrees not to a
90 degree as with the shoulders. Good book is; Ben Hogan's Five
Fundamentals of Golf."

"Sounds like it except that the balloon effect smacks at
vertical motion through impact that increases available loft."
