What
do
golfers
fear
most?

"Taking
the
lesson
onto
the
course
under
competition
or
playing
a
money
game
with
friends.
I
stress
to
them
to
practice
a
bunch
and
tell
them
it
won't
happen
over
night."

"Most
golfers
fear
making
mistakes.
They
play
the
game
with
a
smothering
perfectionism.
Even
a
tour
player
could
not
perform
well
under
such
pressure.
The
first
thing
I
do
is
to
show
them
the
importance
of
a
sound
pre-shot
routine.
They
learn
the
the
hands
are
the
only
part
of
the
body
that
controls
the
club
face.
So
if
we
have
a
wonderful
grip
we
will
have
wonderful
control
of
the
face
without
tension.
They
next
learn
that
the
posture
and
alignment
control
the
path.
So
to
be
able
to
go
from
analytical
brain
to
intuitive
we
have
to
set
up
and
feel
comfortable
about
our
posture
and
alignment,
every
single
shot.
Then
and
only
then
can
we
trust
our
swing.
If
any
indecision
is
there
tension
sets
in
and
our
body
can't
possibly
move
the
way
we
want
it
to." -

"Long
bunker
shots!.
They
are
the
hardest
to
judge
and
that
scares
all
players.
The
best
way
to
arrest
those
fears
is
to
find
a
place
and
practice
them.
Even
if
it
means
playing
four
holes
instead
of
nine
late
one
afternoon.
It's
hard
to
hit
a
shot
with
confidence
that
you
never
practice."
